Name: Alivon Triarion
Age: 50
Race: Drow (dark elf)
Deity: None ATM
Class: Ranger
(best suited for the person he will become from the first few weeks he experiences on the surface, it's explained in the bio:P)
social Class: Wanderer
Appearance: Alivon is pale, dark skinned like the rest of his race, he has the usual white hair of a Drow. The one feature of the Drow that he is lacking is the red eyes, his are more purple which allows him to see in the "normal" spectrum of colors, as well as infrared. After living underground for half a century in the Drows homeland, his eyes have become adjusted to the dark and he has extreme trouble with daylight, even stars can bother him quite a bit at times.
He wears a black cloak with a hood that he wears when he must travel above ground during the day, with that, the also has black pants and a black shirt, not exactly the best for traveling in broad daylight. He carries two scimitars sheathed on either side of his belt, as well as a bow slung over his back.
Personality: Alivon is quite different than the rest of his people, rather than being evil and cruel like the Drow, alivon has accepted a more moral existence that does not require the enslavement or murdering of all other races that aren't Drow. He does not kill for the sport of it, and is actually very loyal to those who will befriend him.
Although the people in the above world generally shun him and dislike him for his race, he tends to guard them simply because he strives to be different from his people.
Equipment:
Two scimitars. (60 gold, Rapier?)
Bow. (30 gold)
Arrows. (30 gold)
Flask of water. (n/a)
Remaining gold: 480
Spells Known:none
Basic Background: Alivon grew up in the under dark, a place where the drow live. The under dark is a very dangerous and unrelenting place, Alivon grew up having to follow the ways of his people, but never quite accepting the ways. After a while he began to despise his own people because of the pain that the inflicted on others for the mere sport of it, hunting the gnomes and other helpless creatures. He had always excelled in his sword man ship and began to practice with two scimitars at the age of fifteen (it was not uncommon for drow to be trained in combat for most of they're lives)
He became one of the best in his class, winning several competitions fighting with faked swords.
When he was 50 (young for a drow) he left his people and cast aside his believe in the drows deity. He no longer believed that power was what should drive everyone through they're life. On his journey through the under dark he managed to make several gnome friends who at first mis-trusted him for being a drow, but eventually began to get used to the differences that he shared with his people.
He ventured through the under dark until he came to an entrance to the surface, this particular passage lead to the barren tundra of Icewind dale. His adventures on the surface began with him venturing around the surface during the night, stopping orc raids. People he saved would often turn on him because of the fear they held towards Alivon's race, this caused him to be shunned by society, although he was tolerated in Ten Towns
