Waking up this morning Mindin found life was much the same as it normally was. Children playing near puddles in the streets, a man at market calling a horse a donkey looking to get a better price for it while not more that twenty paces away a donkey is being called a horse because the owner is looking to sell it. Yes normal. It wasn't this particular type of normal Mindin minded however. The type of normal that irritated Mindin was the absent jingle of his purse. This noise had been replaced for some time by the grumble of his stomach. Alright, it's time to get another job, Mindin decided.
He made his way about the streets smelling delicious breads being made. After the small five minute walk he stared straight at his destination, the Burning Wizard. Ah the Burning Wizard, the place where some men go to be noticed and others go not to be, Mindin thought to himself. Mindin swung open the oak doors and went to check the job posting board before he asked local merchants if they wanted to hire a escort.

Dulcea sat in one of the dark corners of The Burning Wizard, her favorite tavern in the area. She took a long drink of ale before setting her mug down with a thud. She wipped a trickle of ale from her tan face before her lifted her gaze to a man that walked in. He looked like a warrior even though she wasn't familiar with him. She knew many of those in Beregost, mainly because her old town of Naskel use to be but half a days ride to the south. She stared at him for a moment and smirked as he wondered over to the job posting board.
Indeed there would be jobs up there, for many people were looking for someone to help them out with farm work or other things. She ran her finger around the rim of her mug as she stared at him. Her gaze shifted as a few drunkards started arguing with each other and pushing them around.

Mindin's expression was not that of a man seeing only low paid job postings. In fact he almost smirked as if there was a amusing prospect. Mindin unpinned a piece of paper from the board and sat down next to the women eying him. "Scomber!" Mindin said siting down next to the women, "Now that's a bit more than a walk eh?" Mindin's eyes burrowed into the glass by the women as if to lower it by his gaze. "Still 3,000's a big number in terms of glistening yellow coins."
Mindin then looked her up and down and felt torn between hitting on her and asking her to join. "So, what do ya make of that?"

Dulcea was quite surprised when the young man came and sat next to her. He was a bold one, for Dulcea wasn't much of a talker, except to those that she got along with. She would much prefer a bloody battle over talk anyday. She took a swig of her drink and sat it down next to her as she stared at the man. "3,000 is a good number.." Dulcea said as she imagined adding some money to her purse, even though she was already set for a good while.
She leaned back in her chair and folded her arms across her chest. "What exactly are they askin' for? 3,000 gold..Must be somethin' dangerous." Dulcea said as she felt the corners of her mouth twist into a half smile.

"Well let's see. Oh first some good news. Looks like they are looking to hire more than one warrior. They seem to want as many as they can get. Well thats... pricey. Guess I'll have a crew when I get there. Ahh... oh, looks like the want us to venture into a cave and fined their son. Apparently he likes to play in this cave and just didn't come up one day.
Mindin's eyes slid from her glass to her expression to try to see what she was thinking. Mindin took her for a warrior straight off and started to grin as he realized that if she was going to the same place he was, there would be no reason for them not to go together.

"Stupid kids.." Dulcea said as she rolled her eyes. "Secomber eh? That is a ways away.." She said with a sigh. Traveling that far would mean battles with bandits, especially along the road. But for 3000 gold...it was worth it. She hadn't been on a good adventure in a long time and she had been looking for a good one. As long as this fellow didn't get on her nerves, she'd go along.
Dulcea nodded. "Right..Well..Let's get going then and find the kids parents." She said as she drank the last of the liquid in her mug and stood up.
